Did you celebrate National Pretzel Day on April 26th?

I missed a freebie pretzel at the Las Vegas airport – the advertised occasion was National Pretzel Day?  What’s next? An International Power Bar Day?

Proper snacking is such a key part of one’s wellness that I did want to weigh in on pretzels and other munchies.

Why? Nutritious munchies are good for keeping your metabolism humming with those 5 small meals / snacks a day that we recommend.  Do recall: 80 calories for your mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are enough for your internal combustion engine to keep hummin’.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life

In a do as I suggest and as I do sense –

I time-trialed a 2,000 meter indoor row this morning.

My trial time is now ranked eighth in the world for my Masters age group – not bad for a hop-on and GO… Well, actually, I warmed up, as one always should.

There truly is something in that adage about Malcolm Gladwell’s “10,000 hours” of doing something to excel.

As I close-in on 5,000,000 meters logged on C2 indoor rowers;   my heart, lungs and mind know how those many hours pay off.

Why? The competitive difference between first and also-ran is only a few ticks of a timer’s watch – so hours invested predicate peak performance.
